Outstanding Student Achievement: Kaysan Azam-McArdle Shines Nationally

We are thrilled to celebrate the exceptional academic success of Kaysan Azam-McArdle, a former student of Hummersknott Academy in Darlington, who has achieved remarkable results during his time at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College.

Kaysan has achieved exceptional academic success, earning four A* grades in Politics, French, Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), and English Literature. His remarkable performance in English Literature has gained him national recognition, with OCR (the UK awarding body) commending him as one of the top-performing students in the country. This achievement also places him among the highest achieving students in the college.

Kaysan will be continuing his academic journey by reading English and French at Oxford University, where we are confident he will continue to thrive and inspire.

Speaking about his achievement, Kaysan said: “I’m absolutely over the moon with my results. The best thing about my time here at QE was the teachers. There’s a really good quality of education and teaching. It’s really balanced with independent learning and guided learning, so I thought that was really good”.

We are immensely proud of Kaysan and wish him every success in his future endeavours. His dedication, talent, and humility make him a true role model for students across the region.
